Over the years the many grants which she received, totaling over $750,000, made it possible for students to collaborate with her on research which they conducted during the summer and the academic year. She graduated from St. Joseph High School, Pittsfield. St. Joseph Academy, Rutland, and entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Rutland in 1943 from Christ the King Parish, Rutland. St. Joseph Convent, Rutland and moved to Mont Marie Health Care Center in Holyoke in 2005. Sister also served as a Police Commissioner for the city of Springfield, Mass. degree in education from the College of St. Joseph the Provider, Rutland. She received State Certification as a Remedial Reading Teacher in 1974. She was predeceased by her siblings Thomas, James and Margaret Cadigan.
